International Women’s Day: March 8

International Women’s Day is held on 8th March each year and is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.

It’s an important date on CCA’s calendar as an organisation that is staffed by many strong, resilient and caring women whose work makes a real difference to our patients in facilities everywhere.

Celebrating the contribution of women both in the workplace, at home and in the community is important and as an organisation committed to Healthcare without Judgement, CCA particularly welcome this year’s theme: Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow.

We recognise the many inequalities faced by our female patients and the impacts on their health, and our team works hard to address this through exceptional care and Health Education programs.
